About AffordNorth
AffordNorth is an independent Canadian mortgage calculator and education platform. We help you explore affordability and renewal scenarios with clear assumptions before speaking with a licensed professional.
What the tools do
Our calculators estimate a home-price range, monthly ownership costs, selected Ontario closing costs and the effect of different renewal rates. You can change the inputs and see the results without signing up. The guides explain the published rules used and point to official sources.
What they cannot do
AffordNorth is not a lender, mortgage broker or financial advisor. No result is a lending decision, rate offer or individualized mortgage advice. Eligibility, available products, costs and rates depend on a lender's assessment and your specific transaction. The comparison referral service is not available yet.
Independence and limitations
Rates in the tools are explicitly example assumptions unless you enter your own. Ontario and Toronto land transfer tax are estimated; taxes outside Ontario are not modelled. We do not claim that a calculator can substitute for a lawyer's closing statement or a lender's underwriting.
